Brunswick area rental home booking tips:
How to get the best value:
- Summer months are high season in the Brunswick area area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting and booking the perfect Brunswick area vacation home:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. The Driftwood House is completely remodeled 3 bedroom 2 bath centrally located. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
