Booking the best Wilmington vacation rental experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the right Brunswick area rental home:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. The Art Loft - A Luxurious 2-BdRm in the Heart of Historic Downtown Wilmington has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
