Manna is an enticing fine dining destination in the heat of Downtown Wilmington that applies French techniques to elevated American fare. Using local ingredients whenever possible, diners will be treated to a multi-course menu that is sure to be a full-fledged experience, and a prime introduction to elegant Cape Fear cuisine.
The atmosphere is slightly understated, with soft lighting and a small interior bar in addition to a scattering of tables, which perfectly sets the mood for a feast of delicate fare. The kitchen menu, (there’s also a separate bar menu with drinks and lighter fare), changes with the season, and features a small number of sections in appetizer, entrée and dessert categories. Though always subject to change, patrons can expect to see unique starters like red wine braised beets with Clemson blue cheese, endive, and port reduction, or NC pork belly with pumpkin rigatoni. The entrees are ever-changing as well, and also impress guests, with star ingredients like slow braised beef ribs, NC duck breast, and local fresh catches, all expertly prepared in new and refreshingly unique ways.
As a result of this eclectic and elevated fare, Manna is a favorite go-to for a Wilmington date night, and continues to hold onto its reputation as one of the best downtown destinations for fine dining.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2014, the Cameron Art Museum has grown over the past five decades into one of coastal North Carolina's premier collections of regional, national and international art, filling virtually every corner of its gallery space at its 17th Street and Independence Blvd. intersection location. The modern building with its trio of glass pyramid rooftops is easy to distinguish in Downtown Wilmington, however visitors are even more impressed when they walk through the doors and get a first glimpse of the permanent and rotating collections.
The northernmost coastal region of Carolina Beach is home to the Freeman Park Recreation Area, a stretch of shoreline that is well known to adventurous, beach-loving 4WD truck owners. Unlike other stretches of the barrier islands off the coast of Wilmington, this park is special because it is completely undeveloped, and allows beach driving to off-roaders who like to cruise along the sand.
