How to book the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the best vacation rental in the Brunswick area area:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Sunrise to Sunset Views- Walking distance to Boardwalk and Restaurants! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.

Advice for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
