Strategies to get the very best vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 1 Galway Girl -second row and canal access- Bring your boat! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
