Tricks and tips for getting the best vacation property experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in Sunset Beach. To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation rental in the Brunswick area area:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Sea Trail Condo-Tel \/ Private Room at Sunset Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
