We are two artists from NYC fell in appreciate with Sunset Beach. Ample outdoor space and comfortable rooms decorated with richly pigmented artworks with a mix of antique and modern furnishings (my travels near and far) inside/outside are reminiscent of a bygone era. Also offering the camaraderie of outdoor activities with the ability to getaway to your own. This vintage trailer home dating back to 1930 has been completely restored and refreshed to form a unique space for gatherings, celebrations, and collaborations.
During the season(May-September), both Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach are visited by beach lovers from all over the world. There are few businesses that are seasonal but most businesses are open year around. My all-time favorite breakfast place is Big Nells. You can work up a zesty appetite after visiting the bird sanctuary or a trip to the USS North Carolina. Maybe Ingram Planetarium. Lunch or dinner is always in the city of Calabash ( Seafood Hut, Oyster Rock) or downtown Shallotte(Zaxby). The southern food is at its best in North Carolina. If you wish you can visit Holden Brothers farm market for hand made fruit jam or pies. Grocery stores big and modest are near by.

Our top Vacation rental tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Brunswick area vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Renovated retro trailer in within 2 miles of Sunset Beach & Ocean Isle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area beach you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Have a great stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
