We are two artists from NYC fell in appreciate with Sunset Beach. Ample outdoor space and comfortable rooms decorated with richly pigmented artworks with a mix of antique and modern furnishings (my travels near and far) inside/outside are reminiscent of a bygone era. Also offering the camaraderie of outdoor activities with the ability to getaway to your own. This vintage trailer home dating back to 1930 has been completely restored and refreshed to form a unique space for gatherings, celebrations, and collaborations.
During the season(May-September), both Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach are visited by beach lovers from all over the world. There are few businesses that are seasonal but most businesses are open year around. My all-time favorite breakfast place is Big Nells. You can work up a zesty appetite after visiting the bird sanctuary or a trip to the USS North Carolina. Maybe Ingram Planetarium. Lunch or dinner is always in the city of Calabash ( Seafood Hut, Oyster Rock) or downtown Shallotte(Zaxby). The southern food is at its best in North Carolina. If you wish you can visit Holden Brothers farm market for hand made fruit jam or pies. Grocery stores big and modest are near by.

Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Renovated retro trailer in within 2 miles of Sunset Beach & Ocean Isle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your contract.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
