Tricks and tips to get the best rental home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Brunswick area rental home:

  • Summer is high season in Wrightsville Beach. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick the rightrental:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Townhome with Amazing Ocean Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
