Tricks and tips to get the best rental home experience:

When to reserve a Brunswick area rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Brunswick area attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and picking yourrental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Updated Oceanfront Beach House has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area destination you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
