Tips for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation rental in the Brunswick area area:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Ocean View Third Row Home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
