Brunswick area vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. Booking in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the perfectrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Newly renovated condo with beautiful ocean and pool views. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your agreement.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
