Strategies to get the very best Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home in Bald Head Island:

  • Start by having your group select vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Luxe & Cozy, Kid Friendly + 2 Clubs, Kayak Our Dock has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
