- We supply bed linens & bath towels. Beach towels NOT included.
- We also provide enough hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, & trash bags to get you started upon arrival. However, if you are staying longer than a couple nights, please plan to supplement with your own supplies based on your personal needs.
- Please note that we do require a signed rental agreement.

Pet Fee:
- Please message us for pet approval prior to booking.
- Animals MUST be added to your reservation during the booking process. Once added, the $100 pet fee is supplied as part of the nightly rate (spread out equally over the course of the stay) and in the total price at checkout.
- Pet fee is non-returnable and is a flat rate for the stay.
- Limit is 3 dogs; no other animals allowed.
- Must pick up all droppings from pet(s).
- Dogs must be entirely housebroken.
- Dogs are not allowed on furnishings or linens.

House Rules:
- NO SMOKING. If anything is smoked inside, you will incur a $200 fee for deodorization treatment.
- Check-in time is 4:00PM and check out by 10:00AM. Early check ins and late check outs are not available due to our COVID-19 cleaning protocols. No parking on premises before check in time or after check out time.
- Self check-in with keyless PIN code lock
- Please park in the gravel driveway and not on the grass. A max. of three cars may park at the property.
- In order to avoid potential staining, please do NOT use bleach to clean anything during your stay. We have professional cleaners who will use bleach appropriately in between guests to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
- Only stainless steel cleaner may be used on stainless steel appliances. Other cleaners will cause stainless steel to rust, so please do not use them on the appliances.
- Visitors must be approved by host.
- Be respectful of our neighbors. Keep noise volume low and no walking through neighbors yards.
- Do not burn incense, essential oils, or similar items. These scents are difficult to remove before the next guest checks in, and some guests may have sensitivity to smells.
- Guest must sign rental agreement.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this cottage is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Old Brunswick County Jail Museum and Fort Fisher State Historic Site are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Magic Mountain Fun Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

  • To start, have your group choose trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. New Listing

If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you are enamored with, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
