  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1250 square feet

Please note that currently we have experienced flood damage and that the game room is no longer available and the entry, entryway and hallway have been impacted. I currently do not have the variety of games and other outdoor activities / supplies due to flooding. The home is still available and the units themselves were not impacted. However, if you choose to rent, please understand that there will be some areas that are not finished, construction may be present (but I will communicate that with you), and that the handrail for the first set of steps is missing due to the lack of drywall at this time.

3 bedroom and 3 bath home with Ocean Vistas. Fabulous location within simple walking distance to the beach, Publix, stores, park, skate park, splash pad and eateries. Some of our favorites are the BBQ home, OKI Coffee Shop, OKI Scoop Shop and 49th Street Bar and Grille. We are located one block from a public beach access. We have everything you could need in one spot!

Another benefit is complimentary parking! Starting April 1st, the town will be charging $20 per day for beach parking. This home gives you beach access without any additional costs since you are just steps away from the ocean.

We decided to give a nod to one of our favorite college teams, the Appalachian State University Mountaineers, and bring our mountain adore a little closer to the ocean. The name of our home is "NEER the SeA", with the "A" in traditional AppState fashion. Both of my parents are from Boone, and both attended AppState. My Mother was a giant AppState fan and a lover of Oak Island, so my son and I decided that the name of the home was the ideal tribute to her and her legacy.

More details about the home....

There is a king bed located in first master bedroom, a queen bed in the second master bedroom and two sets of full bunk beds in third bedroom. Also, the hallway includes triple twin bunk beds. You can sleep 15 of you and your closest friends.

House is located on the second street back from the beach with marvelous beach vistas from your humongous covered porch. We provide a beach wagon for carrying all of your essential beach belongings. You will have use of beach chairs and a cooler, an umbrella and a 10 X10 canopy. For fun, there are corn hole boards and a variety of beach or yard games.

You will have tons of outdoor living space in this home with the 9 ft X 30 ft covered deck for appreciating the handsome Oak Island sunrises and sunsets. Also, with the covered area you can still savor the ocean vistas, even if it rains. There is a cavernous yard for play and space for parking with 3 cars limit. All inside linens are supplied, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is also a full size washer and dryer on site so you can head back home with clean clothes.

Unfortunately, there are definitely NO FAMILY PETS or ANIMALS and NO SMOKING. I have ADA accommodations for a disability that does not allow me to be in proximity with any fur or feathers, even those that are deemed hypoallergenic. I live in this home as well, so no animals are allowed in either space.

Weekly units run Saturday to Saturday. Between June and mid-September, we only offer weekly units unless otherwise specified. Events may be allowed. Please contact me for more information.

The rental only includes the first level of the home. The owner's suite (upper level) is available as an additional rental in case you need more space. The owner's suite has 2 more bedrooms including a queen bed, 2 full beds, and 3 twin bunk beds plus living space and kitchen. Please contact me for more information if you are interested. The link for the owner's suite is www.vrbo.com/3242925

Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a budget:

  • To get the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best rental home in the Brunswick area area:

  • Begin by choosing a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. New Construction 2022 - Stunning Home, Beach Views & Great Location! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
