Strategies to get the perfect Brunswick area rental home experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • To find the best vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best rental home:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. New beach retreat close to the beach, boardwalk, brewery and bike trail. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a specific Brunswick area destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
