Tips and Tricks for getting the best Brunswick area vacation rental experience:

When to visit Wrightsville Beach & When to reserve a Brunswick area rental home:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Brunswick area area. To book the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Lovely Oceanside townhouse with ocean views and just steps to the beach! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area attraction you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

During your stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
