Vacation rental tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Bald Head Island. Reserve your rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and picking yourrental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Incredible views of the 6th fairway, Bald Head Island Club Golf Course. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
