Our top Ocean Isle Beach rental home booking tips:
When to book & When to go:
- Booking your Brunswick area vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. I LOVE BEACH MUSIC!!! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
