The space
Up a flight of exterior stairs, the apartment has a modest private porch overlooking the parking lot and tree-filled area. The home sits next to the Cape fear museum and catty corner across the street from Wilmington downtown fire station. Located on 8th and Market Street, the space is just a few mins. walk to the heart of downtown. The apartment has a well-equipped huge eat-in kitchen with a full-size refrigerator/ oven/ stove/ microwave/ dishwasher and washer & dryer, and a midcentury modern dining table and 4 chairs. The bedroom is cavernous and pretty with a new queen bed, a couch and a desk. Additionally there is a full bath and a enormous hall that doubles as living space. Wilmington rental booking tips:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Brunswick area area. To get the best rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Narrow your Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose the best dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Historic Hideaway Downtown, Wilmington w\/ parking has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area destination you simply love, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
