Strategies to get the best Brunswick area rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- To book the largest rental within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Brunswick area attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Heart Of Wilmington Vacation For You! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a particular Brunswick area beach you crave, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More tips for your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- At Check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
