Vacation rental tips:
When to book a Brunswick area rental home & When to go:
- In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- To get the best rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Brunswick area attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Five minutes to glorious Sunset Beach and park! Convenient and quiet! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a great stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
