Our top Rental home booking tips:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Summer time is high season in the Brunswick area area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose the right Brunswick area vacation home:

  • Select dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Featured on HGTV- Best of Both Worlds! Beach & Canal 4 YOU has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
