Strategies to get the optimal rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Perfect Family Vacation Home. Discounts for the Fall, Winter and Spring has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If not, contact the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area beach you love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
