Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Wilmington vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Wilmington. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. •Full Kitchen •W\/D• Parking• Netflix•10min?Airport has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
