Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Cozy Rustic Ocean Front Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your contract.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
