Tips and Tricks to get the best Brunswick area rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Walk to the Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

During your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
