Tips for getting the best Holden Beach rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select your dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Classic Beachfront Getaway w\/Patio, Deck, Central AC, Private Washer\/Dryer, WiFi has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area beach you are enamored with, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Know before you go:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
