Brunswick area rental home tips and tricks:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking yourvacation home:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Charming House w\/ Ocean Views, Steps to Beach Access! has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, email the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
