How to get the best vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Brunswick area restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Captain's Corner- ICWW Views! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or applied to your agreement.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
