Tricks and tips to get the perfect Brunswick area rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Brunswick area area. To find the best value, try changing your family's Brunswick area vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Ocean view with your morning coffee! Just 100 yards to the beach. has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. text the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
