Also, the renter must be 25 years of age or older. Affordable Sizable Properties will cancel the reservation if you are under the age of 25 and or a local.

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Summer time is high season in Sunset Beach. To get the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.

  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
