How to book the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Summer is high season in the Brunswick area area. Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautiful new 2-story home near Intracoastal Waterway with patio, W\/D, kitchen has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
