Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • To book the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Brunswick area attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking your Brunswick area rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beachwood Bungalow A, walk to beach and boardwalk has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
