Tips to get the very best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by having your family commit to the best dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Archer– Relax and unwind at this bright and airy oceanfront townhouse has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, contact the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

More considerations:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
