Rental home booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To book the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Alta Mira: Coastal Home with Porches Galore Among Live Oaks, Only 1\/4 Mile From has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
