Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting the best rental home:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Alta Mira: Coastal Home with Porches Galore Among Live Oaks, Only 1\/4 Mile From has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area beach you long to visit, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
