Getting the best Brunswick area rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • To find the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking the right Brunswick area rental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. A Bit O'Heaven: Cheerful Home in Secluded Cul-de-sac with Ocean Views has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
