Did you know that we offer a golf cart rental?

It is SO much fun to cruise to the beach on our 2022 SIX PASSENGER street legal golf cart. It has a beach chair rack on the back and constructed in bluetooth speakers so you can listen to your favorite music!

Golf cart prices: $80 a nighttime (which includes $20 a day beach parking pass)

We will need a signed copy our golf cart waiver and usage guidelines. Golf cart is rented for the whole duration of your stay.

About the Area

Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island, is home to this vacation home. Oak Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and The Reserve Golf Club at St. James Plantation. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting.

When to visit Oak Island & When to book:

  • Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
