Welcome to Surf and Turf on striking Bald Head Island! We would appreciate to host your next family beach vacation or group hideaway! This non-smoking, pet complimentary home was designed with comfort and relaxation in mind! We are just a short distance to the beach or Bald Head Island Club - 2 mins. by bicycle or golf cart!

The home is comfortable and cozy with 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms have porch or deck access. The bunkroom offers a fun sleeping arrangement for the kids. Our home is big enough to spread out and relax by yourself, but open enough for everybody to savor each others company in the same space.

NO SMOKING PLEASE...We want to keep this a family friendly property (plus owner has allergies to smoke).

We rent from Friday to Friday.

The first floor features a family room, dining room and entirely equipped kitchen as well as two bedrooms with queen size beds and two full bathrooms. The family room is open to the kitchen and includes a flat screen tv. The breakfast table seats 10 or you may choose to dine outdoors on the screened porch. The washer/dryer are located on the first floor for simple dropoff on your way in from the beach!

The primary bedroom and bath are located upstairs and offer pretty ocean vistas from a private balcony. A second porch off the primary bedroom overlooks the 9th fairway of the Bald Head Island golf course. The primary bath offers double sinks and a separate shower and garden tub. The bunk room and bath offers room for 4 more!

Let's talk about the porches! We have a enormous porch across the front of the home, wrap around porch on the back of the home, and additional porches off the front and back of the primary suite on the top floor. The screened porch can be accessed by sliding doors in each bedroom as well as the family room and eating area. Our family loves calming on the porch after a day at the beach. These spaces provide room to appreciate a cup of coffee or adult drink, afternoon nap or family meal.

We provide beach towels, all linens, pre-arrival cleaning, and high speed wireless service. Guests have the opportunity to purchase a temporary membership to the Bald Head Island Club and/or the Shoals Club. Both offer a exercise club and pool, as well as casual and fine dining options. Shoals also offers beach access.

For peaceful nights, enjoy a great selection of books and board games.

In the garage you will find 4-seater and 6-seater golf carts, both with seatbelts for the safety of you and your family. You will also find beach chairs for your use.

There is plenty to do on the island - casual-to-fashonable dining, numerous clothing/gift stores, camps and education programs, etc. There is a full service grocery store, ice cream shop and take-out pizza. Fishing, kayaking, surf lessons, scavenger hunts and sightseeing charters are available. As our guest we will can also make recommendations to assist you on arranging details of your trip, including transportation, stocking the home with groceries before your arrival, setting up bicycle units, etc. Our local property management team is on-hand in case of emergencies.

90 days prior to arrival - Full Amount Paid, less an administrative fee of $50.
45 to 89 days prior to arrival - Amount paid minus $200 of your deposit will be refunded once a re-rental is secured.
Less than 45 days prior to arrival -- All payments will be forfeited

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is next to a golf course. The Clubs at St. James and Southport Marina are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Carolina Beach and Caswell Beach. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to your budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
