  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be objective.
