Unbelievable location! Our 4 bedroom, ocean front home is the ideal family vacation spot! There are 3 bedrooms in the main home and a guest crofter. Our home has a traditional floorplan with a roomy, open design. The living, dining and kitchen are on the first floor. The other 3 bedrooms are located upstairs including a huge master suite over looking the ocean. Appreciate the broad back porch while watching the spectacular sunsets. We have 2 golf carts for your enjoyment, beach gear and wifi.

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in South Beach, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. Smith Island Museum of History and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Sticking to your budget:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
