How to get the best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best rental:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Waterfront Oak Island Home w\/ Dock has 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, email the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is right for your trip.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
