Watercolor is a traditional, comfortable beachfront home waiting to greet you with the sun’s pastel morning colors and bid you goodnight with vivid sunsets and a star-filled sky. The home features Brazilian wood floors, fresh shiplap and an abundance of natural light.

The first floor opens to a bright vaulted living space anchored by a bespoke fireplace and sided by a wall of beach-facing sliding doors. It flows into the handsome dining area that comfortably accommodates ten and provides a wet bar. The close by multi-chef kitchen features a sizeable island with plenty of prep room and breakfast bar seating as well as high-end stainless appliances, well-outfitted kitchen necessities, bespoke cabinetry, and granite counters. Savor making and savoring meals here or step out onto the covered porch where you’ll find not only a hot tub and rocking and calming chairs, but also a deck with a teak dining set and grille. From here, a private boardwalk leads onto the beach and into the ocean.

Back inside, a sizable, first floor, constructed-in library offers many books and movies. (Games and puzzles for all ages can be found on the upper level.) A Queen bedroom offers a walk-in closet and has a tiled bath, with a enormous walk-in shower, just outside its door. Across the hall, a Queen Suite, with a California closet and full bath (with a soaking tub) grants private access to the home’s back porch.

Upstairs, a loft with skylights is furnished with two additional-long Twin beds, each with a trundle. While these Twins are ample for an adult, this area’s conversation/ TV space makes it an ideal spot for kids. Beyond, the Owner’s Primary Suite dazzles with expansive vistas from inside or out on its private porch. This suite features a King bed, a huge walk-in closet, granite vanities and a sea glass tile bench shower with rain shower head and wand. TV's are located in each bedroom and the family room.

How to get the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Brunswick area area. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • Start by having your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Watercolor is an Oceanfront 4BR\/3BA Bald Head Island retreat with a hot tub! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
