Finding the best Brunswick area vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Brunswick area attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. ?Vitamin Sea 1 Block From The Beach? has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you are crazy about, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
