Second Wind offers unique design elements for a beach experience like no other. Its striking reverse floor plan places the modern kitchen on the top floor, providing sweeping vistas. Imagine sipping your morning coffee as the sunrise fills the sky with vibrant colors, or appreciating impressive sunsets over the serene Intracoastal Waterway from the back decks. These cavernous decks also offer plenty of room for sunbathing, grilling, or simply soaking in the invigorating Carolina breeze.

Please Note - The spa cannot be heated separately. If you want to heat both the spa and the pool, the cost is $100 per day and must be heated the entire reservation length.

PLEASE READ RULES / NOTES PRIOR TO BOOKING:

You must be at least 28 years old to book and if your group is not related, the average age of all adults (not including kids) must not be under 30 years old.

NO home events, prom events, weddings, rehearsal dinners, or any other events of any kind

NO Family Animals — if you bring an unauthorized pet you will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given.

NO Smoking inside or on/around the premise

NO fire pits or deep fryers allowed on premise

Please note the fireplace is decorative only (if applicable)

Please be aware that there are exterior security cameras located on the premises directed towards the parking area and/or entrances for added security and tranquility of mind.

Due to sever allergies some homes may not allow service or support animals. You must disclose and get permission for any service and or support animals prior to booking.

We cannot guarantee the elevator will be working due to circumstances out of our control. Please read elevator instructions CAREFULLY before operating (found in the notebook in home). User error will result in a service charge. No kids are allowed in the elevator unsupervised. Use at your own risk.

Pool and/or Spa is private and unattended, so swim at your own risk. All kids must be supervised in the water at all time by an adult. No food, drinks, alcohol, glass, etc are allowed in or around the pool. Please keep in mind that due to tropical nature of the island, it is not unusual to find unexpected debris and sand in the pool.

The spa cannot be heated separately. If you want to heat both the spa and the pool, the cost is $100 per day and must be heated the entire reservation length.

If your *check in date* is on or between Memorial Day and Labor Day, your cleaning fee does include whole home linen and towel rental fee. All beds will be made up upon arrival with top and fitted sheets, pillow cases, and 1 set of towels will be included per person (1 set includes: 1 body towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth), and a kitchen towel.
**In the off-season (Labor Day - Memorial Day), linens and towels are NOT supplied in your reservation and are an optional additional fee of $250 at the time of booking. You can choose to bring your own linens and towels, or rent through a third event. (Last min. bookings: We need at least 24-hour notice in order to provide linens!)**

We provide a basic starter pack of essentials for your first day including a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, hand soap, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, and a trash can liner per bin.

Located in Ocean Isle Beach, this vacation home is near the beach. Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Brunswick area area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.

During your stay:

  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
