How to get the best Brunswick area vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. Reserve your Brunswick area rental property in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking yourrental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Sands About Right\n has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
- If there's a specific Brunswick area beach you love, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
