Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

When to book a Brunswick area rental & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking the right Brunswick area rental:

  • Select vacation dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Private, quiet oasis right in the middle of all the action of CB! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
