How to get the best Brunswick area vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Penthouse @ The Cabana-Overlooking CB Boardwalk has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
