Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Booking your Brunswick area vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking your Brunswick area rental home:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Diamond in the Rough: Oceanfront home with surround sound and hardwood floors. has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
