Rental home tips and tricks:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the bestrental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Ocean, ICW and Stellar Sunset Views Await You has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is best for your group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
