Our top Vacation rental tips:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summer months are high season in the Brunswick area area. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Newly Renovated 5 Bed House with Private Pool Sleeps 16 - 1 Block to the Beach has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Brunswick area beach you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
